“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall call his name Immanuel
(which means God with us)”
Matthew one lays out the family tree of the Messiah. In the litany of names we see the powerful and gracious work of our God. For generations, He faithfully pointed His people towards the coming of His Son, Jesus. As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ this Advent season, join us in exploring the members of Christ’s family tree. There will familiar characters and names we have never heard, and each one will poignantly remind us of this truth: through Jesus Christ, we have been grafted in to the family of God.

“During the Christmas season, I often find myself rushing here and there, trying so hard to enjoy everything, that I can end up missing the most important thing: spending time with Jesus. And, yet, that’s exactly why he came as Immanuel— God is with us. So, I’m always on the hunt for ways to focus my heart on what’s truly important during Advent. This year, I’m using a new study from Amy Gannett called Grafted In: An Advent Study on the Family Tree of Christ.” –Melissa Kruger
Please note! This is a physical product. If you'd like to purchase the digital version of this study, you can do so here.
I love the depth of the study and the content, but I agree with another user that the grammatical errors and typos are very frustrating considering the price paid for a physical product. My family tree is not correct: Tamar has two spots and there is no spot to record anything about Jesse. More careful editing of this product is needed, please.
I love the focus on the family tree of Christ and it’s such an interesting read in this advent season. It’s a beautiful book.
However, I can’t believe how many errors are in this book. Duplicate paragraphs, unclear reference to a verse (p33), grammatical errors and typos - and I’m only halfway through. The book comes at kind of a steep cost to be so sloppy.
Arrived slightly late because of shipping delays. But it is a good study so far.
This is the first time that I have done an advent study and Grafted In does not disappoint. I LOVE tracking the family tree and writing about the members. The artwork is beautiful. The study makes you think. The prayer prompts are beneficial. So thankful for this study!
This is such a great study! So neat to learn the lineage of Jesus and more detail 🥰
